Declutter Your Home. Declutter Your Mind.

Clean house, clean head.

Uncluttered home, uncluttered mind.

You have probably heard this saying before.

But have you ever pondered what decluttering the house can really do for your mind and your life.

Getting rid of old things is a powerful way to give your mind more clarity, focus, peace, and balance.

Old things that are no more useful become an unnecessary, energy-draining clutter. This clutter creates a negative environment and affects the mood in an unpleasant way.

I am in complete agreement with the fact that cleaning the house and throwing away stuff can be a daunting task, both physically and sometimes emotionally too, if you have sentimental memories attached to that stuff. Plus, may be you live in a place where you won’t be able to throw out all of these things at the same time.

Let’s do an exercise.

Instead of setting aside one full day or a week to declutter your house, dispose off one thing every day!

And one more thing, by throwing away I dont mean that you have to put that item in a trash can. You can sell it, donate it, give it away to your family and friends or recycle it. See, now you have more than one way of getting rid of the unused stuff in your home. The goal here is to get rid of these things in any way you can!

Make it your 30 – Day Challenge to declutter your home and your mind.
