How is your relationship with Self ?

In our lifetime, we experience three main relationships:

Our relationship with objects such as our computers, cars, mobile phones, cars, etc. Our relationship with other people like family, friends, colleagues

&

Our relationship with our very own Self.

The relationship with Self is the most significant and essential of all the relationships that you will experience in your lifetime.

The more love, compassion and acceptance you have for Self, the easier it is to have compassion, love and acceptance for others.

But a major problem that most people have is putting the most important relationship of their life at the end of their “To Do” list.

Worse than that, some people don’t have a clue if any such relationship even exists. They never try to connect with themselves and therefore they never get a chance to experience their true divine Self.

Do you know that all your sufferings happen when you become overly focused on your relationships in the outer world?

You become too concerned about your relationship with your spouse, your neighbour, your colleagues, material things and start believing you only have limited options.

You start living in a very small contracted world where your entire focus is only on others.

You forget to connect with Self, to love self and to establish a lifelong and fulfilling relationship with Self.

There is only one person in the world guaranteed to stay by your side until the day you die and that is YOU. Hence, it is very important to learn how to understand, nurture, love, honour and cherish yourself so that you may know how to cherish and be cherished by another with no guessing games and no pressure.

Your primary love relationship has to be with YOUR OWN SELF.

Having said that, I would add here that there is a thin line between loving SELF and being selfish. You should be considerate enough to see that in your quest for Self-Love, you don’t end up being selfish.

Selfish people are inconsiderate, rude, unkind and insensitive. Loving yourself does not mean any of these.

All you need to do is honouring, cherishing, nurturing and understanding Self. And stop being a doormat or a people pleaser and know how to have clear boundaries and learn to say NO to people who make you feel victimized;

If you want your life to be smoother, fuller and more blissful, get in touch with your eternal essence.

Give yourself more love than you give to others. Know yourself. Know your likes and dislikes. Acknowledge your thoughts and feelings.

Spend some time alone in your own company. Go for a walk. Meditate. Dance. Paint. Sing, Jump Up and Down. Listen to your favourite music.

Seek your approval ONLY. Dress up for fun. Buy yourself a gift. Compliment yourself for your courage to show up every single day. Get a massage. Appreciate yourself.

Believe me – You really owe it to SELF.

Always remember:

YOU ARE A MANIFESTING MAGNET WHO IS HERE ON A JOYFUL JOURNEY.

BE PRESENT. PAY ATTENTION.

Your Take away from this post:

  • Love Yourself
  • Appreciate Yourself
  • Encourage Yourself
  • Stop being a Doormat and learn to say NO

Stay Tuned for more.
